About the role

Reporting to the Head of Legal and working under a business-partner model, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to a designated group of our internal businesses on a wide variety of legal matters. This would include:

• drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts;
• providing legal advice regarding legal or compliance issues; and
• building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Desired ProfileWe are looking to recruit a lawyer with 8+ years post admission experience.  The successful applicant must have a current unrestricted practising certificate, or eligibility to immediately apply for one.  In-house legal experience is desirable but not essential.  Most importantly, we are looking for someone who:

• is commercially minded and able to manage relationships with all levels of a business;
• has the ability to manage competing deadlines and make fast-paced decisions;
• enjoys working independently;
• has solid commercial experience;
• displays good judgment and promotes innovative approaches and process improvements; and
• possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
