The Standard Market Company is located at the Ferry Road Markets in Southport.

We are currently seeking a Casual Customer Service Assistant - from 25 hours per week to join our friendly and hardworking team in a dynamic food-focused environment

What we are looking for:

  • Must be available for an immediate start
  • Full availability (full-time hours possible for the right candidate)
  • Weekend availability essential
  • Must be comfortable touching raw meat

What the position involves:

  • Providing exceptional Customer Service
  • Fast paced environment – very busy store
  • EFTPOS and cash handling
  • Help with displays for set up of the store
  • Cleaning duties
  • Assist with some food preparation – Handling Raw Meat
  • Traying and wrapping a variety of gourmet meat products

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Past experience within hospitality or food retail ideal
  • Experience in fast paced environments.
  • Passionate about gourmet foods
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Friendly personality and able to work well in a team environment
