We have an opportunity available for a capable and experienced road works plant operator to work with a road construction team working from a depot at Hay.

Plant being operated will vary and includes loader; rollers - multi-tyre, padfoot, smooth drum; mixer; grader.

Applicants MUST have an understanding and ability to operate a mixer.

You must also be willing to undertake manual labouring duties as required to assist the team in completing required work tasks.

You will be working full time hours of work (8.5 hours/day - 76 hours over a 9 day fortnight) for an initial engagement on one month with potential of further work being available for good quality workers. An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered, including overtime penalty rates and allowances for additional hours of work.

This role will involve regular travel - applicants must be able to stay away for a week at a time (accommodation supplied and applicable allowances paid).

An immediate start of work is available.

Successful Applicants will need;

  • Plant Operating - proven experience with Mixer is required
  • current WHS White Card - essential
  • Driver licence - MR truck licence or above desirable
  • Traffic control ticket/s - or willingness to obtain
  • Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)
  • good all round fitness for manual work tasks
  • previous experience with road construction or maintenance will be highly regarded
