About the opportunity

Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, the Group Manager, Procurement and Supply Chain will lead the strategic development and operational execution of Mercy Health's procurement and supply operations to deliver innovative and high quality services to business units.

The role will lead a team of up to 30 FTE (direct and indirect) with an annual value of expenditure of approximately $300m.

What you'll bring

You will be a proven senior leader with demonstrable success within a large, complex, and evolving environment that can evidence their values based leadership and offer an authentic, engaging and agile character.

You will hold experience operating in senior roles providing trusted subject matter expertise to the Executive, Board and business unit leadership teams.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Strategic supply chain and procurement leadership experience gained in a commercial environment, with experience in the Health sector considered highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles and optimisation methodologies and skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts, as well as present procurement strategies and recommendations to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Highly developed change management capability.
  • Knowledge of business and the market place, including an ability to anticipate market change and disruption, to advance organisational goals.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Degree or Post Graduate studies in Procurement, Supply Chain or a related discipline highly desirable.
