**About the opportunity**
Australia Post is changing, and to help our business achieve its Strategic Priorities (Post26 Strategy), our Group Procurement team is growing to support the change. It's all about winning in e-commerce and creating great digital experiences for our business, all while reimagining our post office network as we simplify our products and services, and the Group Procurement team is at the centre of many of these exciting and changing activities.
**What you’ll deliver with us**
Reporting to the ‘Strategic Procurement Manager’, your role is to support the development and execution of end-to-end procurement strategies to primarily support Australia Post’s Corporate Services categories with opportunities to work cross-functionally across all areas of the organisation.
**You’ll also**
- Partner with the function or Business Unit of Australia Post, where key stakeholder management will be required but will also identify opportunities to work cross-functionally across all areas of the enterprise
- Work independently to undertake end-to-end procurement engagement, from undertaking greenfield strategic sourcing projects, stakeholder engagement and management, category planning and development, portfolio management and transaction negotiation to contract finalisation
- Possess a high level of organisation and planning capability and work closely with stakeholders and other support functions (such as Legal and Finance) to deliver strong value
- Represent the procurement process to maximise value across brand and reputation, customer service, service delivery and quality, innovation, environmental and sustainable outcomes whilst generating commercial value, managing potential risk, and maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibility
- Support the Senior Sourcing Manager/Category Lead in establishing procurement standards that ensure efficient, effective, economical, and ethical supplier management in partnership with the relevant business areas
**About you**
- Minimum 7 years’ strategic procurement experience, preferably across Corporate Services categories, such as Marketing, Travel, Consulting and Legal Panel functions
- An experienced procurement professional with exposure to sourcing practices and processes sound commercial knowledge and understanding, including an understanding of national/global providers, contract law, probity practices, and procedures
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management within a large organisation across several categories.
- Experience in managing and working with multiple senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience building relationships as a trusted advisor and working with multiple senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Experience with Ariba Source to Contract is highly desirable
