About the Role:

Are you ready to lead cost management on one of Australia's most significant Defence infrastructure programs?

RPS is looking for an experienced Associate Director – Cost Lead to join our Commercial & Infrastructure Delivery team. This is a client-side role embedded within a high-performing Project Controls team, delivering strategic cost management across complex capital works.

What You'll Be Driving:

  • Ownership of cost planning, control, and reporting across all project phases.
  • Strategic oversight of contractor claims, variations, and commercial risk.
  • Alignment of cost forecasts with financial year budgets.
  • High-impact reporting and financial insights for executive stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with planners, contract administrators, and Defence stakeholders.

What You Bring:

  • Deep expertise in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and commercial advisory.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with platforms like PRISM, CostX, or EcoSys.
  • Proven ability to derive estimates from first principles and manage complex cost plans.
  • Australian citizenship with Baseline or NV1 clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, AACEI, AIPM, PMI) highly regarded.
