Join the Mackellar team at Carmichael Mine and bring your multi-skilled experience to a long-term project that values safety, good gear, and career growth. Whether you're operating Dozers, Haul Trucks, or additional gear like graders, water carts, or loaders — you'll be part of a team that backs its people.

Here's what you'll get:

  • $64.14/hr + Super on all rostered hours
  • FIFO flights from Townsville, Rockhampton or Cairns
  • 7/7 roster with optional OT on day shift
  • Camp, pit & airport all within 5 mins – no long travel days
  • Onsite village with great meals, gym & rec areas
  • New fleet of machines built for safety, comfort & efficiency
  • Retention bonus – earn $3k in Year 1, $6k in Year 2, $9k in Year 3 (conditions apply)
  • Upskilling & internal promotion opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • 12+ months in coal mining, confidently operating:
  • Dozers and Haul Trucks, plus at least one of the following:
  • Grader, Water Truck, Small Digger, or 980 Loader
  • Valid RII competencies or recent VOCs (within 5 years)
  • Standard 11 and manual driver's licence
  • Commitment to safe, productive operations
  • Willingness to be a strong team player and contribute to a positive culture
