Hours per fortnight: Upto 76 hours

Salary per Fortnight: $4,576.20

Additional Benefits: $10,000 sign-on bonus

Are you an experienced Health Information Manager (HIM) orClinical Coder with a passion for education, quality assurance, and professional development? This is your opportunity to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of clinical coding excellence.

As a Senior Coding Educator and Auditor, you will be responsible for enhancing the expertise of our Coding Services team by delivering targeted education programs, conducting comprehensive coding audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Coding Manager, you will collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialistto ensure the highest standards of coding accuracy across all inpatient episodes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Education & Training – Lead and develop training programs, including the Trainee Clinical Coder Program, to support team growth and professional development.
• Auditing & Quality Assurance – Conduct in-depth coding audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance coding accuracy.
• Collaboration & Advisory – Work closely with clinicians and coding professionals to provide insights into casemix, coding, and clinical documentation improvement.
• Continuous Improvement – Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay ahead of industry changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

Your New Division

The Finance and Resources Division is responsible for financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and analysis, together with our procurement, materials management and facilities management functions. The division also includes Health Information Services with key roles in medical record management, clinical documentation, freedom of information, and external data reporting requirements. These are essential non-clinical services providing high-quality support, advice, monitoring and compliance functions. The team are focussed on delivering the strategic vision within their responsibilities and on assisting the organisation operationally.
