About the Role

As the Head of Special Education Services, you will promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disabilities. You will develop and support high-quality teaching and adjustments in accordance with relevant legislation and policies. Our school provides a high-quality education that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning, while also nurturing a sense of personal and community responsibility. Serving students from Prep to Year 6, we offer a range of support programs for students with special needs. Our extensive grounds, multipurpose hall, tennis courts, and swimming pool enable us to offer a variety of sporting activities for students of all abilities.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.

Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.

Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
