A reputable, award-winning interstate architectural practice is looking to appoint a strategic individual to drive and establish it's Melbourne presence. With the strong backing of the wider group, this practice is going strength to strength in growth and reputation. As a key leader, this is an opportunity to make a significant mark locally, establishing an exciting and varied portfolio, whilst building a positive team culture.

Best suited to a collaborative and communicative designer who enjoys working with a busy team, with a strong track record of full project lifecycle and delivery and proven business development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key leadership role working across a multi-sector portfolio
  • Play a key role in business development and client management
  • Collaborate and lead the creative efforts on client projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies
  • Work collaboratively with other leaders and studios to achieve best practice and project outcomes
  • Collaborate and guide team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy

Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Architecture
  • 15+ years' professional experience with proven record of significant project delivery
  • Experience in early overall design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including a strong belief in diversity
  • Proven track record of success in maintaining and growing client relationships
  • Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent verbal presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex design concepts to clients
  • A desire to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership
