About the Role
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing services across a variety of health care settings. You will use your clinical expertise and experience to deliver safe, person-centred care while supporting the growth and development of less experienced staff. This role is ideal for a skilled nurse who is ready to build on their competence and step into a leadership position, taking accountability for their own practice while fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.
In this role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and other Associate Nurse Unit Managers to ensure continuity and consistency of care. You will actively contribute to service delivery by assisting with practice improvements, implementing change, and managing key ward and unit responsibilities. From supporting performance management and recruitment to overseeing rostering, staffing, and resource planning, you will help shape a positive and efficient work environment that benefits both staff and patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities and make a real difference in patient care.
About You
You are an experienced and dedicated nursing professional who is ready to step into a leadership role, supporting both staff and patients through high-quality, person-centred care. You bring a balance of clinical expertise, leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to your work.

- Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated competence in your area of nursing practice, with experience supervising and guiding less experienced nurses and students.
