Receptionist & Administration Assistant

We are a rapidly expanding Accounting Firm based in Balwyn that provides Taxation and Advisory Services (including Business Services, Bookkeeping and Self-Managed Superannuation) to small-to-medium businesses. We are looking for a dynamic, welcoming and driven individual to join our team in a full-time position as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.
About The Role
- First point of contact for our firm. We are looking for a friendly yet professional receptionist to greet clients over the phone and in-person, and assist with general enquiries
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail, including couriers
- Prefilling and lodging Income Tax Returns and Activity Statements
- Preparing and processing various administrative documents and correspondence (including setting up templates, working papers and other documents)
- Contacting the ATO via the Tax Agent Portal or phone for various client needs (payment plans, remission of penalties and interest etc.)
- Maintain kitchen, stationery, and other office supplies
- Data entry and maintaining accurate client information
- General administration duties and assisting with admin overflow during busy periods
Our Ideal Applicant
- Has 1-2+ years of administration experience. Prior experience in an accounting firm would ideal, but is not essential (full training will be provided)
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Is highly organised and great attention to detail
- Has excellent client service skills and phone manner
- Works well under pressure and with competing deadlines
- Can work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate Microsoft knowledge, particularly with Outlook, Word and Excel
