System Test Engineer – Manufacturing AND Automation

About the Role
This is a full-time position based in Sydney, Australia. The System Test Engineer will test, troubleshoot, and optimise automated equipment and production systems, working closely with our engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional and performance tests on automated machinery (cutting, sewing, motorisation, etc.)
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and mechanical faults
- Create and maintain system testing protocols and documentation
- Collaborate and work with manufacturing teams to reduce machine downtime and improve efficiency
- Support new equipment integration and automation upgrades
- Ensure compliance with ISO, CE, and safety standard
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering f ield
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in system or machine testing within manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley), sensors, motors, and automation components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to pivot and support liasing roles for the best team collaboration and outcomes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,487.34 – $90,000.00 per year
