Brisbane Queensland Australia Cross River Rail Delivery Authority Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Role

The Customer and Network team coordinate temporary and permanent changes to rail and transport networks and customer environments so that Cross River Rail can be delivered. This includes facilitating access to the network for construction partners whilst ensuring minimal impacts to commuters with acceptable levels of accessibility and service maintained during construction.

The Transport Network Changes Advisor contributes to ensuring customer facing network changes are managed successfully throughout the project lifecycle with a key focus on facilitating the closure and opening of upgraded and new stations. This entails extensive engagement with transport stakeholders including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Rail and technical advisors. You will apply a consistent network change governance framework which supports effective multi-agency collaboration and decision making, tracking deliverables like bus service changes, rail timetable changes, traffic permit requirements and customer communications.

The successful applicant will be working from our modern corporate office conveniently located in Brisbane's CBD. This opportunity will be offered until February 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage risks and issues on all elements of network change readiness and delivery, including solutions and mitigation measures.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the alignment of network change planning and readiness activities, and adequate stakeholder input is received.
  • Analyse technical documents to assess the scale of customer and network impacts and identify appropriate mitigation and management strategies.
  • Undertake strategic forward planning of the Network Change Program to assess complexity, and planning timeframes.
  • Develop and manage project controls and project reporting.
  • Develop network change governance materials such as operational risk assessments, options analyses, gateway assurance documentation.
  • Plan for and lead day of operations management activities for network changes, which includes work outside of regular hours, on weekends and public holidays.
  • Undertake continual improvement exercises and lessons learnt activities post network changes.

About You:

  • Understanding of public transport network operations with experience supporting the coordination of network changes in a multi-agency environment.
  • Experience maintaining robust project management, governance and reporting frameworks. Project Management or similar qualifications highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, with experience providing high-level advice.
  • Highly organised and deadline focused with the ability to adapt to sudden changes in priorities.
  • Stakeholder engagement capabilities for both management and technical professions with the ability to negotiate and influence positive project outcomes.
