About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced electrician to carry out maintenance and testing of 240V smoke detectors, as well as some 9V battery-powered detectors, and to test and replace RCDs in residential properties, working 1–2 days per week. The work is primarily located in Port Macquarie, with travel to surrounding areas as required, so a willingness to travel and a genuine enjoyment of driving is essential.

You will start your day from home to your first appointment, using our in-house built app to track your bookings and record all the relevant job information. Each inspection can vary between 10-30 minutes to ensure a property is safe and compliant, whilst travel time between appointments can vary.

  • Familiar with smart phones applications

Please note: Safety comes first at Detector Inspector, as a pre-requisite candidates will be required to complete a National Police Clearance and a Pre-employment Physical Assessment.
