About the Role
As Marketing Advisor for Radio, you'll play a key role in shaping campaigns that connect audiences with the ABC's world-class audio content. Working closely with the Marketing Lead and cross functional teams, you'll coordinate and deliver multi channel activity across digital and social platforms. Your work will bring to life creative campaigns, newsletters and promotions that drive growth and deepen engagement with our audiences on platforms like ABC listen, ABC websites and social media.
This is a hands-on role where you'll manage campaign assets from brief through to reporting, ensuring every element aligns with ABC brand and strategy. You'll analyse audience insights, track performance, and contribute fresh ideas to continually improve results. With strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach, you'll help deliver impactful campaigns that showcase the breadth and quality of ABC Radio.
Key Accountabilities
- Under general direction of the Marketing Lead for ABC Radio, and in collaboration with other teams, coordinate and implement marketing campaigns utilising all available channels, including owned, paid, social and digital, and undertake campaign project work as required.
- Implement social and digital campaigns to drive audience growth with a focus on ABC digital platforms including ABC newsletters, ABC websites, the ABC listen app and ABC social media platforms where relevant.
- Contribute to and coordinate marketing plan activities including marketing assets, creative briefs, campaign requirements, communication plans, campaign reporting, learnings and recommendations.
- Coordinate approvals and feedback for all assets, liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of campaign elements.
- Communicate marketing plan initiatives with various internal stakeholders to ensure marketing and communications objectives are met.
- Coordinate the write up, set up and distribution of newsletters and associated promotional activity on audio digital products, including copywriting for marketing activities, aggregating editorial content, monitoring performance and reporting for newsletters.
- Monitor and analyse audience metrics and user data using available tools to gain audience insights, assess performance of marketing activity and inform future marketing activity to drive audience growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other team members and departments to ensure all activities are current and in line with ABC's marketing activity and strategy.
- Ensure correct approval and use of brand and network logos, consistent with the style guides and editorial policy guidelines.
- Create and maintain comprehensive and accurate resources in the form of content, asset management and databases.
- Maintain and understanding and deliver regular updates on marketing best practice, tools, and industry development.
- Develop and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in Marketing or a related field.
- Proficient experience in coordinating moderately complex marketing campaigns and projects and developing marketing collateral or materials.
- Demonstrated ability to generate, implement and track end-to-end marketing campaigns in line with strategic goals, leveraging data and insight to improve the work.
- Demonstrated sound understanding of user behaviours on digital and social platforms and the influence they have on how campaigns are executed.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and solve moderately complex problems in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated accomplished knowledge of broadcasting, online media, podcasting and radio as well as an understanding of ABC content, channels and platforms, marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Accomplished communication and interpersonal skills including sound copy writing experience, to foster an open and collaborative approach to work, while balancing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Proven accomplished ability to develop and maintain databases, budgets and information records.
- Demonstrated accomplished digital skills across a variety of digital platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro
