Overview

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support its analytics and reporting function. This role focuses on translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights through the development of Power BI dashboards and visual reporting tools.

The successful candidate will be confident in working across both business and technical teams, with a strong grasp of data storytelling, SQL, and model validation. A background in enabling self-service BI and improving data literacy is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document reporting requirements from diverse stakeholders
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards using DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals
  • Write and optimise SQL queries to explore and validate data
  • Collaborate with data engineers to improve data models for reporting
  • Document processes, data definitions, and reporting logic
  • Deliver training and support to end-users to foster a data-informed culture

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including advanced dashboard design and performance optimisation
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and validation
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling techniques
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in documentation and delivering user training
