The Role
The Industry Engagement Division is looking for EL 2 Director, Project Manager Lead and Sales Operations Lead for the Australian Defence Strategic Sales Office (ADSSO). Defence is taking the next step forward in unleashing Australian innovation, technology and manufacturing on the international stage by establishing a new office dedicated to selling sovereign Australian defence technology to our international partners.
The new Australian Defence Strategic Sales Office will promote and facilitate the sale of select Australian defence capabilities to priority international partners. Australian companies will benefit from a centrally coordinated platform that proactively promotes, negotiates and drives forward their export sales. The ADSSO is a joint Government and industry endeavour, drawing on front line experience of industry representatives. A major responsibility is working collaboratively with internal, external stakeholders and subject matter experts to facilitate the achievement of Defence outcomes.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team
The Australian Defence Strategic Support Office will identify markets, develop campaign plans, leverage international acquisitions and actively manage ministerial, whole of government and industry efforts to drive strategic sales and through-life sustainment arrangements.
This will directly improve the resilience of Australian industry and contribute to the ongoing viability of production and supply chains supporting the National Defence Strategy and Defence Industry Development strategy outcomes.
Working with us will provide a unique opportunity to engage with Government and Industry on important Government initiatives, and an opportunity to develop or utilise your experience in the Australian Public Service.
