Marcus Oldham is a leading Australian agricultural college, specialising in under-graduate and post graduate qualifications in Business, with a targeted focus on the Agriculture and Agribusiness Industries. The College also delivers a range of professional development short courses to industry through its Centre of Professional Development.

THE ROLE:
We are seeking a full-time Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To maintain the College buildings and grounds in good repair and to oversee and undertake maintenance and other project work.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Strong displayed experience in the maintenance industry, with a focus on groundskeeping and buildings.
- Considerable experience using the tools of trade applicable to this role
- Solid knowledge of procedures, techniques, and equipment, as well as OH&S safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with the broader College community (students, staff, contractors and other stakeholders) to deliver high quality service in building repairs, or other maintenance tasks.
- Some flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed, to respond to maintenance emergencies and meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team as required.
- Exposure to a farming environment would be desirable.
- The ability to enjoy challenges, to learn from experience and commitment to continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- (Mandatory) Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
- (Desirable) Certificate IV in Building or equivalent (i.e. Grounds Management, Grounds Keeping & Maintenance, Plant Operations)
- (Desirable) Chemical Uses Licences
- (Desirable) HR Licence
