Volunteer opportunities at Calvary St. Martin de Porres
We have a wide range of roles to match your interests and availability, including:

  • Companionship – friendly social visits with residents, conversations or walks
  • Lifestlye activities – board games, music, craft, art and social engagement
  • Social outings – accompanying residents on bus trips
  • Gardening – assisting residents with gardening activities
  • Meal times – assisting and supporting residents during meal times

Calvary St. Martin's is located near the Calvary Mater Hospital in Waratah, Newcastle. It provides quality care for 41 permanent residents and also offers respite accommodation. Volunteers have always played a vital part in resident care – complementing the care provided by our care staff. By volunteering at Calvary St. Martin's you become part of a legacy built on compassion and service. Your presence, time and and kindness can brighten lives and create meaningful connections for our residents and their family members.
