Kanini Software Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer who is well-versed with the ServiceNow platform which supports IT service management to automate business processes. As a Software Engineer, you will be designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting, and implementing baseline and custom applications to enhance the platform. You will also manage the platform to ensure stability and implement architectural changes when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Spearhead the creation and implementation of efficient, dependable software solutions across various ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SAM, EM, Discovery, Platform Analytics, and Integrations.

  2. Serve as an expert consultant, advising stakeholders on system requirements, new platform capabilities.

  3. Offer strategic guidance to stakeholders by analysing business needs, evaluating new ServiceNow features, and recommending effective solutions, including the strategic use of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and NowAssist to drive efficiency and innovation.

  4. Design and sustain seamless integrations between ServiceNow and key enterprise systems (e.g., JIRA, SAP, PagerDuty, Sailpoint, OKTA, SCCM) to ensure automated workflows and data integrity.

  5. Architect and develop bespoke integrations using REST, SOAP, and other APIs to connect ServiceNow with third-party applications and custom systems that may not have pre-built connectors.

  6. Perform thorough application testing using manual and automated methods (including ATF) and debug code to deliver high-quality solutions and maintain platform stability.

  7. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for software design, architecture, and coding processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and team standards.

  8. Provide essential operational support by resolving incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing fixes to enhance service performance and reliability.

  9. Engage actively in Agile and Scrum processes and promote continuous improvement through DevOps practices to improve automation, optimize deployments, and boost system reliability.

  10. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, including new ServiceNow features and integration techniques, and integrate relevant advancements into the development process.

  11. Work closely with process, business, technology, quality assurance, and operations teams to coordinate and ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Essential requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or comparable/higher education.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Extensive experience as a software engineer, spanning more than 6 years in developing and architecture of software platforms, products.

  2. At least 4 years of experience on ServiceNow platform in modules like ITSM, HRSD, APM, PPM, GRC or ITAM and designing solutions within these modules.

  3. Prior experience in leading architecture activities like designing, roadmap, & proof-of-concepts on COTS platforms or Low Code/No Code platforms.

Programming Language:

  1. Core JAVA, JAVA Script, HTML, Angular JS, Glide query, Web Services.
