**Temporary part-time position, 16hrs p.f. until April 2026
We are looking for an exceptional Rehabilitation medicine consultant to join our Persistent Pain Management Services team within the Sunshine Coast Health.
As a Sunshine Coast Health employee your salary includes:
Base salary comprising of between
$ $117.05 p.h. - Staff Specialist L18 - L24
$ $127.77 p.h. - Senior Staff Specialist L25 - L27
Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
$21,000 p.a. - Staff Specialist L18 - L24
$25,500 p.a. - Senior Staff Specialist L25 - L27
Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

The Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful beaches, hinterland scenery and subtropical climate. The Health Service is located across the Sunshine Coast region, with five hospital campuses including Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) serving a population around 500,000 people.
Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We care for our communities through Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldier's Memorial Hospital, and Caloundra Health Service which includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. We also provide care at a number of community and mental health sites, as well as Glenbrook Residential Aged Care.
The Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service is an interdisciplinary service which supports patients with persistent pain to self-manage their disease and improve their quality of life by providing multidisciplinary specialist input as well as provide individual and group based programs with an emphasis on collaboration with the primary care provider. The service has a strong focus on restoration of function and a rehabilitation approach.
