Opportunity to work in our Future Energy Team
At Horizon Power, we're transforming how Western Australians experience energy.
The role has three key components:
1. Briefing Materials Development
- Support preparing high-quality divisional and project specific briefing notes and materials for ministerial and other high-level requirements.
- Translate complex or technical information into accessible content, assuming minimal mple job title (e.g. Sales Assistant) prior knowledge from the audience.
- Assist in the development of strong, output focused business cases that clearly articulate value and intent.
- Assist in the preparation of internal communications collateral and collaborate with the corporate communications and media teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
2. Stakeholder Engagement Support
- Collaborate with business areas to coordinate, build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of key external stakeholders, particularly government agencies, industry and community.
- Work alongside project teams to set up meetings, capture minutes and document key discussion points.
- Maintain divisional inputs into a corporate stakeholder relationship management platform, ensuring accurate records of interactions and meetings.
3. Coordination of Stakeholder Engagement Plans
- Create and provide recommendations for the development of divisional stakeholder engagement plans to build, maintain relationships with key stakeholders and support internal teams to integrate them into projects and programs.
- Draft and maintain divisional stakeholder engagement plans, including stakeholder mapping and support their implementation in alignment with operational needs and ensuring alignment with the Corporate Stakeholder engagement strategy.
- This component involves semi-administrative duties that demand strategic foresight - determining who to engage, when to do so, and the most effective approach.
- Contribute to the development of Corporate systems, and processes that support external relations.
What We're Looking For
- Master Organiser – You're structured, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat.
- Exceptional Communicator – Your writing is sharp, clear, and tailored to the audience — whether it's a ministerial briefing or stakeholder update.
- Translator of Complexity – You have a knack for turning technical or operational jargon into plain, accessible language.
- Government Savvy – You understand how government processes work and have experience developing communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Collaborative Connector – You're comfortable working across teams and breaking down silos to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Proactive Problem-Solver – You don't wait for information to come to you — you go out and get it, ask the right questions, and make the connections others might miss.
- Focused Yet Farsighted – You can zero in on the task at hand while keeping an eye on broader implications and external factors.
