About the role

Pheonix Builders Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Labourer to join our tight-knit construction team in Lidcombe, NSW. As a Skilled Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of tradespeople to deliver high-quality building projects. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial construction sites.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting Safety officer full time maintaining safety
  • Carpentry experience preferred
  • Minimum 12 months of on-site construction experience
  • Installing safety handrails and general safety tasks to ensure fall hazards and WHS adhered to
  • Handling and moving construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Performing general labouring and site clean-up duties
  • Competent in the use of power tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Preparing work areas and cleaning up job sites
  • Operating power tools essential (Grinders , Circular Saw , drills)
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Experience in the construction industry essential

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Labourer or in a similar construction role
  • Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of construction work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of construction projects
  • Construction industry tickets or certifications (desirable)
  • A general all rounder with a can do attitude.
