Role Summary
A skilled and creative Videographer with proven experience in producing engaging content for VLOGs, YouTube, Ad Funnels and Social Media platforms. As a Videographer and Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, filming, and editing captivating videos tailored to our brand's target audience.
Your expertise in DSLR and iPhone filming, post-production editing, and live video feeds will be crucial in attracting attention and driving engagement across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
You'll support our Lead Generation system with timely and customer focussed content that drives curiosity and engagement with our various ad funnels.
You'll have a curious and determined approach to producing creative that support our various brands across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK, from design based work in brochures, flyers, to social media post and corporate branding within our established team framework.
Responsibilities
Social Media Content Creation
Develop innovative and compelling content for various social media platforms, including VLOGs, YouTube videos, Instagram stories, reels, TikTok videos, and Facebook content.
Filming Expertise
Utilize both DSLR and iPhone devices to capture high-quality video footage that aligns with our brand's style and storytelling.
Post-Production Editing
Efficiently edit and enhance video content for different platforms, maintaining a consistent and visually appealing aesthetic. Optimize videos for maximum impact and engagement.
Audience-Centric Content
Understand our target audiences and buyer personas across our brands and create content (imagery/video) that resonates with them, encouraging enquiry, course enrolment, and engagement to increase the effectiveness of our social media presence.
YouTube Content Creation
Create YouTube suited content to support the user growth and enquiry of this channel by planning and executing video content strategies, optimizing SEO, and fostering viewer engagement across long form and Shorts content.
Your content will support our student journey from understanding our course content, the student services side of our business and to create successful instructional content for use in this channel and across our websites and brands.
Collaboration and Ideation
Work closely with the marketing, creative, sales and course content teams to brainstorm ideas, develop video concepts, and align content with broader marketing campaigns.
Stay Current with Trends
Keep up-to-date with social media and content trends, identifying opportunities to incorporate new formats and features into our video strategy.
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain video equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for shooting and recording purposes.
Data Analysis and Insights
Utilize analytics tools to track your content performance metrics, audience engagement, enquiry and enrolments using data-driven insights to optimize future content. You'll be comfortable preparing management reports and presenting your data, with a particular focus on strategic improvements.
Requirements
Experience - Proven experience as a Videographer and Content Creator with a strong portfolio showcasing VLOGs, YouTube content, and social media videos.
Social Media Expertise - In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, content formats, and best practices to create engaging and shareable videos. You'll have strong knowledge of META Business Suite, YouTube Channel manager and TikTok for Business.
Filming Skills - Proficiency in using DSLR and iPhone devices for video shooting, understanding lighting, composition, and audio.
Video Editing - Proficiency in post-production editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, to produce polished videos. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation for enhancing video content.
Design – Proficiency with design tools to produce marketing collateral, such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva Pro or similar platforms.
Creativity and Storytelling - Strong storytelling abilities and creative vision to deliver compelling narratives through video content.
Time Management - Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Communication Skills - Effective verbal and written communication to collaborate with team members and convey ideas clearly.
SEO - Understanding of video SEO and optimizing videos for search and discovery.
How You'll Measure Your Success
Content Delivery Excellence - You'll consistently meet or exceed agreed content production schedules, delivering a minimum output of engaging video and design assets across our brand portfolio. Success means maintaining a reliable content pipeline that keeps our marketing calendar full and our ad funnels constantly optimised with fresh creative.
Lead Generation Impact - Your content will directly contribute to enquiry volume and course enrolments across all brands. You'll track the performance of your creative assets through the customer journey, from initial engagement through to conversion, demonstrating clear attribution between your content and lead acquisition outcomes. You'll work towards improving cost-per-enquiry and cost-per-enrolment metrics through iterative creative testing.
Engagement and Reach Growth - You'll drive measurable increases in audience engagement rates, video view completion rates, and social media growth across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Success includes improving watch time, click-through rates on calls-to-action, and fostering meaningful interaction that moves potential students through our marketing funnels.
Systemised Content Operations - You'll establish and refine repeatable processes and frameworks for content creation that enable the Marketing and Lead Acquisition teams to scale effectively. This includes creating content templates, production workflows, asset libraries, and clear brief-to-delivery systems that reduce turnaround times and ensure consistent quality across all brands and markets.
Data-Driven Optimisation - You'll regularly analyse content performance metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements. Success means demonstrating month-on-month improvements in key performance indicators and presenting quarterly reports that show clear ROI on content investments, with strategic recommendations for future creative direction.
