The Opportunity
As a Patient Services and Transport Officer, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and their families. You must be energetic and passionate about being in the front line dealing with all people within the hospital. The successful applicant would need to be flexible, adaptable to a fast-paced environment and have strong interpersonal and time management skills. This position may be suitable for a candidate who is only able to work school hours.
Key responsibilities of this job include:
· Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward.
· Driving the hospital car to transport patients to/from the hospital for admissions, appointments, etc.
· Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
· Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.
· Compile papers on discharge as required ensuring the file is complete before placing into Medical Records
· Maintain an organised and tidy ward as well as any other admin duties as directed.

The Sydney Private Hospital is a 90-bed private facility located in Ashfield. The Sydney Private Hospitals was established over 90 years ago and continues to be a leader in excellent care to the local community. It has well-established Inpatient/Surgical wards, 8 Main Operating Theatres, Eye Center and Day Only Rehab department
Our specialties include Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Oral Maxillary and Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.
Skills and Experience
· You must be customer focused and strive to maintain the hospital's CORE values.
· Previous experience in an administration hospital-based role is preferred
· Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus
· Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy.
· High level time management and organisational skills
· Must be over the age of 25 and hold an unrestricted full driver's license
· Ability to work within a team environment and multitask
· Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with ease
· Previous experience using Webpas is preferred
