Edith Cowan University
Are you ready to belong to a dynamic community where courage, creativity, and optimism are essential elements of our DNA? At ECU we're inspired by the incredible achievements of Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament and a lifelong champion of education. Empowered by her legacy, we're united in our vision to lead the sector in educational experience and expand our impact through world-class research.
Embrace an opportunity to become part of something extraordinary.
Edith Cowan University's (ECU) City Campus Program is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine the future of higher education in Western Australia. Rising in the heart of Perth's cultural and commercial centre, this world-class precinct for Creative Industries, Business, and Technology will connect students, academics, industry partners and the public through exceptional experiences and transformative education.
The Creative Futures Directorate enhances the value of this unique opportunity by driving and delivering a strategic approach to creative activations and broader public engagement for ECU.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Content Operations Coordinator, a detail-focused and technically capable team member who can help manage the flow of digital content across ECU's large-scale screens and immersive environments. You'll play a key role in ensuring media assets are ingested, prepared, tested and scheduled to the highest standard, working across the University with students, staff, schools and external creators.
This role is ideal for an early-career media professional or recent graduate with strong technical foundations who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem solving, and has a passion for working with digital content and large-scale media systems. You'll join the Creative Futures team at a pivotal time, contributing to ECU's most exciting initiatives at the new City Campus and helping shape the future of digital experiences in higher education.
About you
You are a technically confident and organised media professional who enjoys making systems run smoothly. You can manage multiple deadlines, spot issues quickly, and work collaboratively with both creative and technical teams to get content live. You're energised by innovation and excited to work in an environment where creativity, technology and education come together.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience working with a variety of digital media formats, codecs, resolutions and frame rates.
Demonstrated experience managing digital assets, including metadata, version control, transcoding and archiving workflows.
Demonstrated experience using editing, transcoding or media management tools (e.g. Adobe Media Encoder, Resolve, FFmpeg or similar) and liaising with stakeholders to resolve content issues.
Experience with media servers, scheduling systems or large-scale AV displays is desirable but not essential (Pixera/ISAAC training will be provided).
You are proactive, adaptable, and align with ECU's core values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits of working at ECU
At ECU we're committed to fostering a positive employment experience and believe this is fundamental to the success and satisfaction of our employees. Growth and development matter here, because we recognise people are at the centre of everything we do. Our thriving work culture is guided by the ECU values and complemented by a range of employee benefits; visit our website to read about flexible working arrangements, generous leave entitlements, our commitment to Wellbeing, exclusive corporate discounts and industry-leading superannuation.
