About Allevia Limited:Allevia is a registered NDIS Provider, providing support to people who have an intellectual disability. Many of the people we support have a dual disability - along with their intellectual disability they also have a physical disability, and/or mental illness. About the Role:As a Supported Independent Living Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. 

Our Disability Support Worker will be required to:

• Work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekend shifts.
• Provide positive outreach support to NDIS Participants with a range of disabilities.
• Provide intensive, flexible, responsive, client focused support with the aim of assisting clients to successfully improve physical and mental health and develop connections with the community and achieve their goals.
• Have a working knowledge of the NDIS.
• Demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude
• Assist participants in their needs of daily living including personal care, toileting, showering, meal preparation, domestic assistance, social support, transport, etc.
• Use your administration skills to maintain accurate documentation and records of support provided
• Commute to Condell Park, Green Valley, Chipping Norton, Wenthworthville, Burwood with a valid NSW Drivers Licence (P2 Minimum).

Shift Requirements:This role requires the flexibility and availability to work across the below shifts as part of a fortnightly rotating roster. Shifts and hours are subject to change in accordance with operational needs. Minimum 3-4 days availability required during the week - Monday to Friday.

• You have the physical capability to carry out a range of manual handling tasks.
• A working knowledge of the NDIS.
• A qualification like a Certificate III or IV in Disability.
• An empathetic attitude towards individuals with disabilities.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience providing personalised support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, including personal care, household tasks, and community engagement.

Essential Criteria:

• A Driver's license (CP2 minimum) valid in Australia and access to own vehicle.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Right to Work in Australia such as passport, visa.
• Required to work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekend shifts (refer to shift requirements above).
