Position Description Summary

The Senior Manager, R&D Data Stewardship provides operational support for data stewardship initiatives by helping manage data standards, track data quality, and assist with stewardship tooling and documentation. Works closely with data stewards, IT, and scientific teams to support consistent and compliant data practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with defining and maintaining data dictionaries, metadata standards, and stewardship workflows.
  • Support data quality monitoring activities and contribute to issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate stewardship-related communications, documentation, and training activities.
  • Help steward teams with onboarding and tool usage (e.g., metadata catalogs, stewardship portals).
  • Work with IT and platform teams to validate integration of stewardship processes into systems.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data stewardship, scientific data systems, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with data quality concepts, metadata management, and governance principles.
  • Experience working with digital or scientific platforms in a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
