Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer

We are looking for a person with the following attributes and skills:


•A degree or higher in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent


•Minimum 7 years experience in engineering design in the waterway, river and catchment space


•An appreciation of how the management of our waterways and catchments can be improved and how you would like to contribute to this


•Experience in managing and delivering large design projects from planning through to detailed design and delivery


•Excellent ability and self management in interdisciplinary work, information assimilation, analysis and problem solving, thinking strategically and demonstrated success in applying skills and experience to real world problems


•Demonstrated ability in communicating information, including high quality writing skills in English


•A willingness to lead and contribute to a collaborative and values-driven work culture


•Proven ability to develop good rapport with clients, stakeholders, staff and partners, together with listening skills, empathy and awareness


•A long-term perspective and ability to build knowledge, skills, relationships and profile

These additional skills are desirable for this role:


•RPEQ (Civil or Environment) or on the pathway to attain this certification within a few months of commencement


•Geomorphology and / or geotechnical training or certification


•Experience and interest in working in the mining and resources sector
