Advance Support Co. Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced, organised, and dedicated SIL Program Coordinator to join our professional team in Croydon, VIC (Eastern Suburbs).

About the Role

The SIL Program Coordinator is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen our services.

As the primary contact for participants, families, and staff, you will oversee daily operations, staff management, and compliance to ensure the home is safe, supportive, and well-structured. You will be responsible for coordinating the support team, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring participants receive high-quality care.

This role requires strong experience in people management, report writing, communication, and handling diverse operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be motivated, team-focused, and passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a professional team to achieve positive outcomes for clients
  • Work collaboratively with management, families, and other care providers
  • Oversee a variety of daily tasks such as compliance, medication management, weekly reporting, scheduling appointments, and coordinating staff to ensure participants are well supported and the household runs efficiently.
  • Responsible for ensuring services are delivered in line with Advance Support Co. Pty Ltd's values, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for conducting regular risk assessments, managing incidents, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and develop menus that meet residents' preferences, nutritional needs, and cultural or religious requirements, in line with food safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred) or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a SIL or similar setting.
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities in daily living and personal care, including manual handling, and the ability to guide a team of support workers to follow established processes.
  • Proven experience leading a team, including staff supervision, performance reviews, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with neurological or degenerative disabilities (preferred).
  • Strong commitment to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, with strong computer literacy.
  • Sound knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013, Victorian Disability Services Act 2006, Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006, and Quality and Safeguarding Commissioner worker standards, with an ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Availability to work flexible hours throughout the week.
  • Reside locally (within 30-45 minutes) of Croydon, VIC.
