Are you an experienced Leading Hand and Excavator Operator with strong leadership skills, expert, and ready to take on crucial civil telecommunications projects? If so, we want you on our team

About the Role:

We are seeking motivated and skilled professionals to support NBN and Telstra network projects. You'll play a vital role in leading site operations, managing civil works, and ensuring the efficient use of heavy machinery to deliver high-quality telecommunications infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervise and coordinate teams in pit and pipe works, cable hauling, ACM pit upgrades, and more.

  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards.

  • Conduct site planning, pre-start meetings, and risk assessments while managing daily operations.

  • Liaise with project managers and engineers to maintain schedules and quality control.

  • Operate excavators safely and effectively for trenching, earthworks, and infrastructure installations.

  • Perform daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.

  • Work closely with civil teams to ensure accurate and efficient completion of excavation tasks.

  • Follow strict safety protocols to prevent damage to underground services.

  • Must be able to work away from home when required.

Requirements/ tickets/ certifications you must have:

  • NBN Enable card

  • White card

  • Non-friable ACM removal

  • ACM removal supervising

  • Locating and protecting underground services

  • Minimum HR Driving license

  • TMI1 Traffic Management Implementer

  • Vac truck operations

  • Excavator operator ticket

  • Pit and pipe installation

  • Concrete/pavers/bitumen breakout and reinstatements

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in telecommunications civil works (NBN, Telstra, infrastructure projects).

  • Excavator Operators: Valid licenses and operational experience in trenching and earthmoving.

  • Leading Hands: Strong leadership, planning, and team coordination abilities.

  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards in civil construction.

  • Physical fitness to work in demanding outdoor environments.
