Role Overview
As the Security Architect, you are DNX's frontline strategist for securing cloud-native and hybrid workloads. You'll translate business goals into robust, audit-ready security architectures and guide multidisciplinary delivery squads to embed "secure-by-design" thinking from sprint zero through production.
Key outcomes you will own
Design & approval of end-to-end security architectures for AWS and on-prem workloads, balancing agility with compliance needs.
Leadership of risk assessments, threat-model workshops, incident-response planning, and breach investigations, turning findings into hardening road maps.
Development of security policies, standards, and runbooks that stand up to ISO 27001, NIST, IRAP, and many more frameworks.
Integration of security controls across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines; coaching engineers so they can ship secure code at speed.
Continuous threat monitoring, counter-measure recommendations, and engaging awareness sessions for executives and hands-on engineers alike.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing comprehensive security architectures for cloud-enabled systems
- Conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
- Developing security policies, standards, and procedures
- Identifying security requirements for new systems and applications
- Coordinating with development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle
- Reviewing and approving security designs for cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Leading incident response planning and security breach investigations
- Monitoring emerging security threats and recommending countermeasures
- Creating security awareness training programs for staff
- Communicate complex security concepts to both execs and deeply technical engineers.
- Facilitate workshops, use whiteboards rapidly, and influence without direct authority across multidisciplinary teams.
- Produce crisp design docs and runbooks that stand up to audit scrutiny.
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
- Experience with network security, application security, and cloud security
- Knowledge of encryption technologies and public key infrastructure (PKI)
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives
- Ability to translate complex security concepts into business language
- Excellent attention to detail and risk assessment capabilities
- Project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able and willing to obtain Baseline Security Clearance within six (6) months of commencement
- Must be able to work with unrestricted work rights (due to AGSVA requirements)
Desired Skills:
- Additional certifications in cloud security (AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer) and advanced security framework knowledge (CISSP, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP).
- Strong experience with DevSecOps practices and security automation tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (SOC, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
