Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain piling rig equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Set up and position piling rigs on construction sites, considering factors such as ground conditions, safety, and project requirements.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of the piling rig, ensuring proper functionality and addressing any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform pile driving operations, including driving piles into the ground using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and site supervisors to interpret construction plans and ensure accurate implementation of piling activities.
  • Monitor the progress of piling operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of piling activities, including daily reports, equipment logs, and safety documentation.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of piling rigs and associated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project specifications during piling operations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by actively identifying and addressing potential hazards and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Technical certifications or vocational training in operating piling rigs.
  • Proven experience as a Piling Rig Operator, with a strong understanding of piling rig operations and equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of rigs, including knowledge of different piling techniques and tools/equipment.
  • Familiarity with construction plans, drawings, and specifications related to piling operations.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the well-being of self and team members.
  • Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to different job sites as required.
