Based in Cambrian Hill, Porter Plant are seeking an experienced, energetic and team orientated Full Time Light Vehicle Workshop Mechanic. Your role will see you carrying out servicing, repairs and plant inspections of light vehicles to go on hire.

You will apply your high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties in a safe and systematic manner. Your strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed will enable you to meet customer timeframes and Porter Plant expectations of workmanship.

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Be trade qualified with relevant experience
  • Have the ability to drive manual vehicles
  • Perform effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment in particular Toyota's.
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Possess the capacity and willingness to be "hands on"
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance in a timely and effective manner
  • Have excellent organizational, communication and reporting skills
  • Have good computer skills
  • Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S management principles
