Your new role as a CSSD Loans Officer / Sterilising Technician
Are you a diligent and motivated CSSD Technician looking for career progression? An exciting opportunity is now available for a full-time Loan Officer at Hurstville Private Hospital.

Imagine your new role as the successful applicant where you will check loan equipment in and out of a busy CSSD, coordinate hospital requirements with supply representative and theatre staff, ensuring all necessary loan instrumentation and prostheses are sterilised and ready for use when they are needed. Your day may also involve providing your skills as a Sterilising Technician when required, ensuring compliance at all times to overall patient safety with quality reuseable medical equipment through sterilisation and disinfection per HICMR standards.

You will have the following;
Essential Criteria

  • Certificate 3 Sterilisation Services Certificate or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sterilisation
  • Exceptional collaborative Interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care
  • Demonstrated compliance with Australian Standards relevant to sterilisation
  • Evidence of participating in the National Standards and implementing policies within the sterilisation environment
  • Evidence of procuring and managing resources within a health care facility
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with computerised reporting systems
  • Commitment to Professional Development and a structured learning program

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous Loans Coordinator experience
  • Understanding of financial and human resources management principles
  • Knowledge of HICMR policies and procedures
