About the role

CW Education Group is seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join their team in Perth, WA. As a Trainer and Assessor-Carpentry, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to students in the field of carpentry. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions covering a range of carpentry topics
  2. Assessing students' skills and competencies through both theoretical and practical assessments
  3. Providing feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning objectives
  4. Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure training content is current and relevant
  5. Collaborating with the wider training team to continuously improve training and assessment practices
  6. Maintaining accurate student records and reporting on training outcomes

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant vocational qualifications in carpentry or a related trade, with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  2. Demonstrated experience as a Trainer and Assessor, ideally in the vocational education and training (VET) sector
  3. Strong technical expertise in carpentry, with a deep understanding of industry practices and standards
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
  5. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their goals
  6. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
