About the Role
As the Chef Tournant, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the Radii Restaurant Kitchen in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, ensuring all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Prepare, create and present all dishes for guests using best practice techniques and equipment as required
- Assist in the supervision, training and coaching of culinary employees
- Ensure the Kitchen is organised and clean in accordance with hygiene standards
- Monitor food and operating costs by reducing waste
- Maintain awareness of new trends, ingredients and techniques
What you bring to the role
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous work experience in a similar position in a large four or five star hotel or fine dining, a la cart restaurant
- Proven knowledge and experience in all operational and functional aspects of kitchen administration and operations
- A local certificate in Food Handling, Hygiene, HACCP or equivalent
- A strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead subordinates and delegate tasks
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
