ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to a highly influential CFO, this FP&A Analyst will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its growth journey. The FP&A Analyst will act as a true partner and 2IC to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic support, change management, transformation and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for leading and driving new improvements across reporting, FP&A and best in class processes.

As the FP&A Analyst, you will take full ownership for the strategic delivery of business results. The FP&A Analyst has primary day-to-day responsibility for supporting business strategies to add value beyond finance across a broad range of stakeholders and providing leadership to the finance team. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner to deliver key results and improvements.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the CFO and working in partnership with the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a true partner to the Executive Leadership Team to support business strategy and financial direction;
  • Financial Planning & Analysis – manage and oversee the commercial planning and reporting function including budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process for your division ensuring strategic alignment to business objectives as well as partnering with cross functional leaders across the organisation;
  • Business Performance Analysis - Provide insights and build business acumen through analysis of data to support commercial decision making;
  • Commercial management - pro-actively driving risk & opportunity analysis, volume rate mix analysis, contract negotiation, trading terms, financial modelling and business cases;
  • Be a critical voice in the development and execution of organisational and divisional business strategy;
  • Assess financial performance across the business to devise and refine key deliverables and KPIs to meet financial objectives;
  • Spearhead improvements and best practise across finance transformation including new reporting, systems and processes;
  • Work closely with leadership team on long term strategic business plans;
  • Be a key project lead for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the finance group.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are CA/CPA qualified with a strong passion for business and transformation. You have demonstrated achievements and track record in driving best practise across FP&A, reporting and systems.

Overall, you have a vision to fast track your career towards a true leadership role within the next few years by proving yourself in a broad finance role in a fast-growing high performing organisation.

You will bring to the role strong commercial acumen, vision for growth, and a passion for best in class processes. You will have a track record of adding value through an absolute understanding of key business drivers; the capacity to drive change; and the ability to influence performance.

This is a mid-sized high growth business therefore, you must display the hunger, energy and drive that you are willing to be hands-on, not afraid of a challenge whilst having the gravitas to communicate and influence an impressive Executive Leadership team.

You will demonstrate proven commercial acumen and strategic thinking supported by a high level of competency in finance management. You will have significant experience in working with, advising and/or supporting senior leaders.

In addition, you will have:

  • Strong accounting foundations.
  • Commercial finance acumen with a proven track record of actively driving commercial agendas across the business.
  • Experience implementing, delivering and managing new systems and reporting tools.
  • Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Pro-active and customer focused mind set.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Key eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Superior stakeholder management, including advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
