Role Description

Are you friendly, kind and compassionate and want to make a difference to our family by providing live-in care for our elderly mother?

This is a full-time on-site role for a Live-In Elderly Carer located in a beautiful estate in Warriewood, NSW.

You will be providing
dedicated, one-on-one care for our 80-year-old mother in a warm and welcoming home environment. She is sweet, a little frail so not quite as independent as she'd like to be, but motivated and keen to stay living in her own home so we need someone special to make this happen for her.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with daily personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) and daily routine
  • Provide companionship
  • Buying groceries and preparing meals
  • Assisting with her daily medication
  • Support mobility and provide caring reminders as she has short term memory loss
  • Maintain a clean and safe home environment, including washing and linen.
  • Taking her to medical appointments and liaise with healthcare providers as guided when necessary
  • Taking her on outings to nearby café for coffee and for drives and small walks.

Qualifications

  • Patience, empathy, warmth and excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in elderly or disability care preferred
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent in experience)
  • Driver's licence and car preferred
  • Police check and working with vulnerable people check
