About us:

Since Little Lane Early Learning Centre's launch in Melbourne in 2018, we have been providing quality early childhood education and care to the local community. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for children and families whilst delivering a unique Kindergarten Program that focuses on children's strengths and interests.

Little Lane's Montessori Children's House is a new service that has just opened September 2025 and operates within long day care hours to support the families and children of Doncaster, Melbourne, and surrounding areas.

The Role

Litte Lane Montessori Childrens House - Doncaster is seeking an experienced Montessori professional to join us as an Assistant Centre Manager, to guide, inspire and drive the Montessori Principles and Practices that underpin the operation of a large Montessori community. You would hold a relevant Early Years Montessori qualification and have a passion and commitment to driving authentic Montessori practices. The successful candidate must have the drive and ambition to assist in bringing together a team of committed Montessorians in developing this new community.

As the Assistant Centre Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations. Your primary focus will be driving continuous improvement, and engaging with the local community. Salary $75,000 - $85,000 + WRP

Skills & Experience

Hold a Diploma in Montessori ( 0-3 or 3-6)

Hold a Diploma of Children's Services or higher

Current Working with Children Check (VIC)

First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificates.

Must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position.

Be able to establish and foster positive relationships with both families and staff.

Be an effective communicator and have excellent time management skills.

Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework, Childcare Act and Regulations, NQF, NQS and VEYLDF

Experience with Assessment and Rating

Implement and evaluate quality programs that support the development of all children.
