As a family-run business, we bring decades of experience in the safe and reliable transport of livestock, petroleum, and bulk commodities across Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and Queensland. Our fleet includes over 90 prime movers, and we're proud of the strong team behind every journey.

The Opportunity

We're gearing up for the 2026 season and looking for
Livestock Road Train Drivers
to join our team in the following locations:

Broome & Muchea (WA)

Darwin (NT)

Mt Isa & Longreach (QLD)

Your Role

As a Road Train Driver at RTA, you'll be responsible for:

  • Safely handling and managing livestock during transit
  • Loading and unloading livestock with care
  • Maintaining your vehicle and crates to a high standard
  • Driving professionally and safely across long distances
  • Accurately completing logbooks and trip sheets
  • Following company policies and procedures
  • Complying with Chain of Responsibility requirements

What We're Looking For

Valid MC driver's licence

Previous truck driving experience

Livestock handling experience (preferred)

Legal working rights in Australia

Willingness to complete medical, drug & alcohol assessments (including Commercial Driver Fitness)

Ability to provide a National Police Clearance
