Full Stack Engineer

Syncio is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to become an integral part of our product engineering team and help build the next frontier of commerce.

In this position, you will be involved in every phase of the development process - from conceptualisation to deployment. You'll work alongside our founder, CTO, engineering lead, product manager, designer, and CX specialists to help define and build Syncio's product features.

You'll be responsible for developing and deploying solutions that enhance our platform's functionality, performance, and security, with an equal focus on both backend and frontend. You'll also drive high code quality through automated testing and proactive resolution of performance issues.

This role is not just about technical implementation; you'll be encouraged to contribute to product discussions, bringing your technical insights to help shape our product and directly interact with customers to understand their needs.

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll work on exciting projects that help merchants collaborate seamlessly. Here's what you'll focus on:

• Become an integral part of the product engineering team

• Work with the founder, CTO, engineering lead, product manager, designer, and CX specialists (basically everyone) to define Syncio's feature and product set.

• You will be working on projects start to finish.

• Drive technical excellence

• Develop and deploy full-stack solutions that enhance the platform's functionality, performance, and security.

• The work split is 80% backend and 20% frontend.
• Drive high code quality through automated testing, and proactive resolution of performance bottlenecks.
• Writing fluent API integrations for many open APIs.

• Enable cross-team collaboration to flourish across multiple time zones

• High-quality communicator and team player in a remote-first environment.

• A self-managing team member who thrives in autonomy and a high-paced, dynamic environment.

We're fully independent and bootstrapped, so we're all-in on our team and customers, and not distracted by a board and investors. Our engineering team is not just engineering, it's product engineering. We want to work with and develop the very best engineers not just technically (you'll jump straight into the biggest impact projects), but would also be more than comfortable speaking directly to our customers, or helping shape product.

Syncio enables collaboration by making the basic building blocks of commerce shareable across webstores. Think inventory, orders, product attributes, all the key information required for retail to operate. Syncio enables merchants to create its own micro-marketplaces, become a super-distributor, expand globally, etc.

To give you a sense of Syncio's impact, in 2024, over 70M orders worth US$5.2Bn in GMV was synced across the Syncio network.

And that was 2024 We're gearing up to make an even bigger impact in 2025.
