About the Role

STH Piling PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to oversee all basement construction operations on our projects in the Melbourne area. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of our construction sites under our site manager, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Hands on role managing and supervising all onsite construction activities along side STHP site manager, including overseeing subcontractors and trade workers
  2. Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies
  3. Reporting directly to our site manager / with builders, subcontractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
  4. Monitor and report on project progress, schedules
  5. Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to site
  6. Identify and resolve any construction challenges or delays
  7. Provide mentoring and guidance to site staff

What We're Looking For

  1. Excellent project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  2. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  3. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Relevant construction qualifications or certifications
  6. Someone with basement construction experience weather it be shotcrete / steel fixing / formwork looking to step into a leadership role
