The Company

We are a family run pipe laying, excavation and civil construction Company. We have offices based in Sydney and Gold Coast with Crews and plant to cover projects from Sydney to Brisbane. Our company provides specialist services to the civil industry with our experienced crews, management team and extensive fleet of plant and equipment.

Vac More has years of experience delivering KPI's on utility construction projects in regional areas for Local Government Councils, major Government infrastructure, WTPs and Pump Stations.

We pride ourselves on the high standards maintained on all company owned plant and equipment. All machinery is safety compliant, fit for purpose and in excellent working order through consistent maintenance and regular servicing. The machines are fitted with fall protection, emission reduction devices and noise attenuation to meet safety and environmental regulations.

The opportunity

The Site Engineer will assist delivery of projects across capital water infrastructure including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, water main replacements and more across South East Queensland. In addition to managing the delivery process of the projects, you will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost, commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success.

What you'll do

  • Attend planning visits and concept reviews to advise on constructability and delivery across time, cost, safety and quality outcomes
  • Support Scheduling, Cost Controls, Community Engagement, Procurement, Estimating, Quality Assurance and Safety teams in developing delivery plans
  • Provide technical advice and expertise throughout project delivery phase, promptly addressing any issues and problem-solve to maintain time, cost, quality and safety targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, subcontractors and colleagues

What we're looking for

  • Project delivery experience within the water & or Wastewater industry (preferred)
  • Experience in driving quality outcomes in project delivery
  • Degree qualification in civil or mechanical engineering
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with people
  • Sound computer skills
