About the role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sheetmetal/Boiler maker apprentice to join our team at Category 5 Fabrications NQ in Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time position, providing you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your expertise in this dynamic industry.

1 x First year

1 x Third or Fourth Year.

What you'll be doing

• Assist experienced welders and boilermakers in fabricating, assembling, and repairing various metal structures and components

• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Develop proficiency in operating a range of metalworking equipment and tools, including cutting, bending, and welding machines

• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

• Contribute to the overall success of projects by working collaboratively within a team environment

• Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

• Willingness to learn and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship
