Workday Financials Test Lead – Contract

Our client is looking for an experienced Workday Financials Test Lead to join a major program on a contract basis. You will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and management of all testing activities related to the Workday Financials implementation.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be instrumental in delivering a successful, high-quality outcome across key financial modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the end-to-end test strategy for Workday Financials
  • Plan and manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression and parallel testing phases
  • Develop and maintain test scenarios, scripts, and test data
  • Coordinate testing across internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Drive defect triage and resolution processes
  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and progress reporting to project stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices
  • Support go-live readiness and post-implementation validation as required

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Test Lead on Workday Financials implementations (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of key Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, AP, AR, Procurement, Assets, Reporting)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary testing team
  • Experience in fast-paced transformation or greenfield implementation environments
