ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging learning experience for children accross all age groups.
This is a Permanent, full-time (Mon – Fri).
You must be available for work between the hours of 6am and 6.30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups
- Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes for qualified staff
- Set up, facilitate, and clean down after play-based activities
- Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families
- Develop trusting and honest relationships with children, families, colleagues, management and community stakeholders
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Hold a recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care)
- Hold or be willing to obtain Blue Card
- Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
- Previous experience in understanding the needs of children with additional needs
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection laws
- Experience and a passion for working with children
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development and well-being
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility in relation to working hours
- Experience with Childcare and Xplor and Playground (desirable)
