Armesto's Transport are seeking a 2 Workshop Supervisor's . One Located at Rocklea Depot and the other a Beerwah Depot.

$40 - $50.00 per hour

Armesto's Transport is a family owned and operated business based in Beerwah, on the Sunshine Coast, we currently require two trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel maintenance mechanic that has strong leadership qualities to supervise the floor of our busy workshop based at our Rocklea depot and Beerwah Depot.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have experience in supervising a busy heavy vehicle workshop. Good time management skills and the ability to supervise staff to keep to tight timelines is essential.

Extensive knowledge of Kenworth, Volvo brand of trucks essential.

Must have fleet maintenance experience in Prime Movers and trailers.

The Floor Supervisor Mechanic's duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and Perform repair and maintenance of our trucks, trailers and other equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Supervise and Perform detailed inspections of vehicles and equipment and correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company owned equipment.
  • Supervise and Perform fabrication and repair component parts.
  • Identify and repair or report worn or failed components, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer.
  • Work reasonable overtime when required

Skills and Experience Required

To be eligible for this role, applicants must:

  • possess an Australian Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or recognised equivalent.
  • have basic experience in welding processes
  • have experience in thermal cutting processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems.
  • Full drivers license – HR licence is preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as required
  • Have proven experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers

     Be detail orientated and possess a strong work ethic

     Be confident in working unsupervised

     Produce a high standard of work while keeping to deadlines

     Must have excellent leadership skills and be honest and ethical

This is a permanent full time position with a 38 hour week plus overtime as required. Saturday work involved

 Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on experience.
