About the role:

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager – Contracts to lead procurement and contract delivery across a wide range of engineering projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills to manage stakeholders, ensure compliance, and drive high-quality outcomes. You'll work across civil, water, sewer, mechanical, and electrical works, with opportunities to contribute to strategic projects and step into higher duties. We are seeking:
  • Lead and manage complex, multidisciplinary projects with confidence, from procurement through to contract close-out.
  • Apply your deep knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and risk management to deliver high-quality infrastructure outcomes.
  • Bring strong technical expertise in construction across civil, water, sewer, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, using clear, plain English in both written reports and verbal discussions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by juggling multiple priorities, resolving issues independently, and stepping into leadership roles when needed.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
